Lake County Busted Mugshots is a private reference site, not a government office. It cannot confirm a custody status, arrange a release, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Direct those requests to the government office that holds the record.

Official Lake County Record Contacts

For a Lake County Jail booking record, booking photograph, or current-custody question, start with the sheriff and jail. The county does not publish a separately named records clerk or a dedicated booking-photo request form. A written Minnesota Government Data Practices Act request should identify the exact record sought, the person's name, date range, date of birth if known, booking or incident number, arresting agency, and preferred inspection or copy format. Ask for the current responsible authority if routing is needed.

Use the source that matches the custody state or record type. The items below point to the current Lake County and government resources that hold or publish the relevant information.

  • For a person currently held, use the official Lake County Jail current roster. It is a live custody view, not an archive.
  • For a released person's county booking record or photograph, send the written request to the sheriff and ask for the applicable copy fee. The published fee schedule has no dedicated booking-photo line.
  • For the case after booking, use Minnesota Court Records Online or Lake County District Court. Court records show the later disposition, not just the initial allegation.
  • For someone later sentenced to state custody or under DOC supervision, use the Minnesota DOC offender viewer.
  • For federal sentenced custody or immigration detention, use the Bureau of Prisons locator or the ICE Online Detainee Locator, as applicable.
  • For a Lake County warrant question, check the official path described on Most Wanted and verify the current status with the sheriff or court.
